AI ETHICAL GUIDELINES
Guideline focus
Responsible AI that protects people, reduces harm, supports fair competition, and creates measurable value across critical sectors.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The guideline translates international standards into product and consulting decisions: reducing harms, evaluating risk, and keeping human outcomes at the center.
AI must be safe and secure
We use robust, reliable, repeatable, and standardized evaluations of AI systems, to test, understand, and mitigate risks from these systems while balancing security risks. We use regular testing and evaluations to ensure our AI solutions function as intended, are resilient against misuse or dangerous modifications, are ethically developed, and operated in a secure manner.
Privacy and Civil Liberties..
As we develop AI solutions, we are mindful that individuals’ privacy and civil liberties must be protected as AI continues advancing. We strive to ensure the collection, use, and retention of data is lawful, is secure, and mitigates privacy and confidentiality risks. When reasonable, we promote technical tools, including privacy-enhancing technologies, to protect privacy that result from the improper collection and use of people’s data.
We Deploy AI Responsibly.
The use of new technologies, such as AI, does not excuse Beyondsoft from its legal obligations. We do not ignore regulations that safeguard against fraud, unintended bias, discrimination, infringements on privacy, and other harms from AI, particularly in critical fields like healthcare, financial services, education, housing, law, and transportation. We create solutions that promote responsible uses of AI that protect consumers, raise the quality of goods and services, lower their prices, or expand selection and availability.
Commitment to supporting workers, equity, and civil rights
We do not deploy AI in ways that undermine rights, worsen job quality, encourage undue worker surveillance, lessen market competition, introduce new health and safety risks, or cause harmful labor-force disruptions. We solicit the views of workers, labor unions, educators, and employers to support responsible uses of AI that improve workers’ lives, positively augment human work, and help all people safely enjoy the gains and opportunities from technological innovation to build the next steps in AI development. We develop and deploy our AI solutions to avoid unlawful discrimination and abuse.
Responsible innovation and collaboration
We do not participate in unlawful collusion and addressing risks from dominant firms’ use of key assets such as semiconductors, computing power, cloud storage, and data to disadvantage competitors, and we support a marketplace that harnesses the benefits of AI to provide new opportunities for small businesses, workers, and entrepreneurs.
We pioneer and promote safeguards needs to deploy AI solutions responsibly.
As we develop technical solutions utilizing new technology, we commensurately contemplate the systems and safeguards needed to deploy technology responsibly.
